I gave my Z to them for 2 weeks and he came home skittish, fearful, emaciated and bites people who put their ha dis out for a sniff. He winced when I put the collar near him and that's the last he ever saw of it.

The trainer taught him for commands that he already knew. She did nothing for the reason why he was in there. I called multiple times and only had a response from the trainer and the secretary. It wasn't until I threatened to go corporate that the owner finally called me and had a very belittling tone.

The trainer had the nerve to tell me that I should get a stronger color to shock him with on a regular basis because she was using the highest voltage that she could. He was wincing at level 2 low. It pains me every time I think that I sent my beloved to that horrible place. I would never recommend them and I will tell anybody that askes.

I am trying to at least get my money back but nobody ever answers the phone they take 2 to 3 days to call you back until you threaten them that they try and brush you off. Off I could shut them down I would do that. Oh yeah, the trainer had the audacity to tell me to put the shock collar on my eight week old puppy. All and any advice welcome..

I am irate and hurt.

I will not drop this. They will not be able to brush me off.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Middleton, Wisconsin

Wow! So sorry you all had such a bad experience.

Sounds awful! My experience was the exact opposite (wasn't in Wisconsin though). My trainer had taught me how to reward (positive reinforcement) the behaviors you want (sit, down, come and stay) and to correct unwanted behaviors (digging, chewing, counter surfing etc.). We use the collar only to reinforce a known command when the dog either doesn't want to listen to us or is distracted.

And even then the stimulation level is so low I can barley feel it. Similar to poking them with a finger or tugging on a leash. Now the correction level sometimes has to be a higher stimulation level but we only needed to do that once maybe twice for the dog to get the idea that what they are doing is bad.

And I don't have an issue with that because some things can hurt or even kill the dog or destroy and expensive item. I would rather give my kid a slap on the had rather than have them get burned touching a hot stove.

Hello,

I am wondering if you every resolved this issue. I am having the same issues.

I took my Norwegian Elk Hound to the vet because she was wincing, squealing, and nipping every time you try to pet her. She went their being the most loving and sweet dog I have ever owed and now she won't even let me touch her. The vet is having me take her to a behaviorist to see if she can help me get out of the outrageous contract I am now paying. I feel so bad as well as my family for my baby Izzy.

Can you contact me if you have time to talk about this.

Thank you,

Arlene

My cousin experienced the same thing.

This is so sad! I am a trainer (positive reinforcement) and had a client today whose dog was snipping at anyone who Reyes to touch his collar.

So fearful of everything and everyone it made me want to cry. Come to find out she used sit means sit trainer for him when she got him as a puppy.

I'm with you, I am now on a mission to shut them down!

I want to shut them down I have seen their cruelty first hand. They have literally moved into my area and they pretend like they know what they're doing.

Just today I watch the dog leave their establishment its ears with back and his tail was tucked under and every the owner or the trainer went to touch the dog that coward down. I truly hate these people and I feel sorry for the the dogs.

anybody can be hired off the street and they call them dog trainers. They give their customers a two-hour demonstration and call them experts at using a shock collar!
